Capelli's is a Gentlemen's Barbershop in Seattle. Upon opening its doors in the Fall of 2003, Capelli's has worked to create a welcoming ambiance combined with a professional atmosphere catered to men to come and relax during their busy schedules. Striving to emphasize personal and uncompromising services, Capelli's offers the highest quality in barbershop services in Seattle.

Capelli's Barbershop
In 2003 co-owners and business partners Simone Loban and Robert Heyer recognized the need for an upscale men's barbershop in Seattle, WA. At that time Simone Loban, working in sales, was looking for a  transition and creating her own business when a colleague said she should become a barber. She laughed until she remembered how she loved doing hair when she was a kid and found in her research that Seattle lacked a high-end barber shop for men.

Co-Owners Simone Loban and Robert Heyer
Thus Simone and Robert who where dating back then launched together a business that neither of them knew anything about. Although their romantic relationship didn’t last, the two business partners say the vision behind the successful business they built together is the secret to their enduring and close friendship.
Today Capelli's is offering three convenient downtown locations in the Fourth & Madison building, the US Bank Centre on 5th Avenue, and the latest addition in South Lake Union. Capelli's has established the perfect place where men can feel comfortable while receiving quality services. Easy scheduling and online booking allows for morning, afternoon, and evening appointments without the hassle of rearranging the workday or prior commitments. The relaxing atmosphere at Capelli's invites men to lounge in comfortable leather chairs, take a few minutes to read the newspaper, or even watch the big games on a flat screen television.

Featuring décor with a masculine appeal reminiscent of an old library or a cigar lounge, each shop holds nostalgia for barbershops of the past. With a team full of passionate and experienced stylists, Capelli's aims to provide top of the line grooming services for men.

Capelli's, a place for busy men
Men no longer have to feel patronized in a salon targeted for female customers, and they no longer need to drive out of the downtown area for a haircut. In today's busy world, quality, convenience, and value are the answer.

The Fairy Tale of Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda

Makeup Artist Lucia Pieroni worked with Photographer David Sims to create elegant looks inspired by "Cinderella Story" for the American Vogue published September 2013. Dolce & Gabbana staged its private Alta Moda in the gilded 15th-century Palazzo Barbaro on the Grand Canal in Venice providing the models with some of its creations and accessories.

For the photo shoot model Edie Campbell was wearing unique pieces, the work of some 80 seamstresses and artisans, like this heart-stopping Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda creation of silk over stiff tulle petticoats, printed with an image by the 18th-century Venetian painter Canaletto.

Once Upon A Time, by Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda
For the theme 'Fairest of them all', Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda created a Mask of the Night with hand-painted flowers adorned Mikado silk on a lavish old-world cloak, worn over a matching gown.

Just like 'Sleeping Beauty' who seems waking from a slumber that lasted 100 years, the details of the fabric treatments at Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda are from another time altogether. Here, handworked lace has been cut out and refashioned and applied to create a blossom-loaded surface of hypnotic depth.

The simplicity of a blackberry lips adds formality and finish to luminous skin. Clarins Joli Rouge lipstick in Royal Plum delivers moisture and shine.

Hair Color Trends for Fall 2013

Wondering which hair color you should have for fall? Here is some guidance and a few tips to help you.

First, the trend is that hair colors will be polychrome, and the more natural the color looks the better. So keep a maximum of your natural shades, and avoid yellow strands or platinum blond! Honey, golden or brown shades will be at center stage.

Blondes will have the choice between brown or honey shades. For the second option, don't forget to keep a tiny shadow at your root!

                                     Gwyneth Paltrow                 Brit Marling

For Brunettes, gold is the best choice! Look at Lily Aldrige or Jessica Alba to be convinced!

And last but not least, red as hair color is very fashionable this fall. With brown or cinnamon strands, you'll have the perfect look, just as Jessica Chastain or Drew Barrymore!

Penelope Cruz for LOEWE

If you're a busy working woman, always carrying many things but looking for having them all at hand at the same time, the new 'Cruz collection' should make you happy.

In partnership with creative director Stuart Vevers, Penelope Cruz and her sister Monica created a cross-body bag with outside pockets, available in various colors.

The decision of creating a line together was made after Loewe chose Penelope for the 2013/2014 campaign. In fact, she signed a 3-year contract to be the face of the brand for ready to wear, accessories and handbags.

Some pictures from the 2013-2014 campaign, shot on the rooftop of the Casino de Madrid

It's not the first time that Penelope and Monica have worked together. They have already designed collections for Mango and Samantha Thavasa, and are about to launch a lingerie line for Agent Provocateur in August.

The cooperation between the two is easy, since they love the same things and tend to make the same decisions.

The Cruz collection will also feature purses and wallets in different colours, and will be available on November 1st.

My HAIR Monday

Today curly hair has the place of honor.
"Fashionable hair" used to mean flat and sleek. But more women, among them celebrities, are embracing their wavy or curly hair instead of fighting it.

Here are some tips to have the best look with your natural texture:

1. Curly hair is naturally dry and thrives on moisture, which is why it's advantageous to use shampoos without sulfates.

2. Avoid using brushes and narrow-toothed combs, and instead opt for wide-toothed combs which cause less frizz and breakage.

3. The key to getting great curls is to set the curl pattern while your hair is damp. Set your part, then comb through as little hair as possible at the crown to have the hair lay as you want it.

4. Blot your hair dry instead of rubbing back and forth. This will cause less frizz!

5. Also avoid touching your hair as much as possible.. this can separate your curls and lead to unwanted frizz.

Halle Berry's pixie cut

Forget everything you have heard about curls and short cuts. Halle Berry is wonderful with her tough-but-feminine pixie cut.

There is also the long and wavy layers, like Kate Hudson. Women with fine, less-textured hair might have a hard time with this cut.

Finally, we have the curly shag, for those who have out-of-control and curly hair. Rihanna successfully tried this haircut!

The plaid trend in fashion

The plaid has long been the required look in Scotland after King Georges IV visited the Highlands and was celebrated by locals wearing kilts. It became then more aristocratic, worn by Queen Victoria for example, but was also paradoxically the symbol of those who contested the power of this class, like the Sex Pistols.

This fall, plaid pattern is back, but with a new way to wear it.
Chanel was one of the first to highlight the Scottish trend in its pre-fall collection. Organized in a real Scottish castle, the collection featured kilt-like shapes, puffy skirts, tweed and tartan, with a mix of vintage, heritage and modernity.

Other fashion houses followed, such as Celine, Stella McCartney, Givenchy or Saint Laurent.

Tartans featured in Celine, Chanel, and Saint Laurent runways.

Here are some ideas you can pick up to wear your plaid pattern this fall:
- on heavy wool kilts,
- on grunge flannels with preppy school skirts,
- or for a touch of punk, mixed with black and metal or chunky zipper-shoes.

If you're afraid of looking like a Scottish highlander, you can just add some tartan accessories to your outfit, like a handbag, a scarf or gloves. Here are some examples below:

Pendleton handbag and Fred Perry scarf

So, are you ready to go for plaid?

My HAIR Monday

With the heat of summer, we tend to favor short haircuts, or to do updos.
But the trend of bobs is also back and with different varieties.
One of our favorite is the Mod-bob, a 1960s inspired hairstyle of January Jones, major volume at the crown and a chic black headband, a look that was created by stylist Andy Lecompte.

January Jones
If very short haircuts are not what you prefer, you can also try a long bob. That is what Alexa Chung and Nicole Kidman successfully did. This style gives them a fresh and youthful look. To get her beachy waves, Alexa Chung uses Oribe Apres Beach Shave and Shine Spray.

Nostalgic for the time when your mother bought you playsuits in the summertime?

We've got good news for you: jumpsuits are once again fashionable this year! They figured prominently in various runways this spring, especially at the BCBG Max Azria and Charlotte Ronson shows.

Casual, patterned or chic, there's a jumpsuit for every moment of your day!

Alexa Chung                    Kate Mara                    Emma Watson

For a cool day at home, we believe that a denim one will perfectly fit your purpose. Going to work, opt for a more elegant outfit, like Kate Mara's one. And we suggest you to belt your jumpsuit to accentuate your waist!

Some going out playsuits, available at Bloomingdale's

If you got rid of your typical evening dresses, here above our selection of going out jumpsuits, that will still make you look very chic and elegant!

Relaxed summer hairstyles
Relaxed hairstyles are just as fashionable as refined this summer. We encourage you to make the most of this trend and dare less elaborate hairdos! We hope you'll enjoy the styles we have selected for you.
Like Blake Lively, opt for this simple loose hair-down style. Tousled and tumbling waves are the little secret to create just the right touch of undone effect that makes your hair look cool and yet very elegant.
Blake Lively
If you prefer tying your hair back, cool braids are so much fun. Even up-dos with a twist of undone remains super chic.
To keep your up-do natural, allow each strand to have some free movement while you bring them back and up. Adding an accessory, like a headband, will look a bit more more sophisticated in the evening. Katharine below looks stunning!
 Katharine McPhee
Our last advice:
. When you wear your plaits, don't braid too tight! Quite the opposite actually, keep them loose and never apply products directly on.
. A nice "decoiffe" looks gorgeous!
Minka Kelly
